The fact that I came to DC to fight against modern slavery, speaks volumes.
Let’s not bring our morality down in America.
A million Indians, currently kept as subservient to their employers in America in the green card backlog of 134 years.
Residents of America for 15+ years, through legal means, paying taxes every year without any rights.
Let’s not bring our morality down in America.
The moral direction that the constitution is supposed to provide in America.
When an immigrant gets exploited for the rest of the life by their employer and can’t change jobs because of the fear of 60 days, our morality goes down.
When an immigrant woman gets sexually abused and can’t report the crime because of her inability to change employers, our morality goes down.
When the kids of immigrants living in America for their entire life can’t work when they turn 21, and have to self deport to find new belonging, our morality goes down.
When the next generation of immigrants go through the same trauma as their parents, our morality goes down.
When an immigrant can’t build companies or self actualize because of their inability to leave their employer, our morality goes down.
When an immigrant can’t go back to their home country for the final rituals of their parents because of fear of not able to get back, our morality goes down.
The purpose of the constitution and laws is to lead with high morality and show through actions that a human being is free and not anyone’s property.
And the constitution under its jurisdiction must ensure that a human being is treated with respect and dignity.
Every such being must not be exploited by the vultures of greed, power or fame for that matter.
Doing the right thing is more important than you or me.
We owe it to the future generations of human beings.
Wish Abraham Lincoln was alive today. We wouldn’t be here today.
Let’s not bring our morality down in America.
Have a beautiful day in paradise; let's live today; it’s not forever! 😘🥰💕💜
