Let's celebrate excellence together!
It's the foundation day of my favorite place - IIT Kharagpur, my undergraduate college - the place where I truly belong - a temple, a monastery located on the East side of India. 72 years ago, as India got independence, the institute was established by the forefathers of India - to represent India’s urges and India’s future in the making. The institute has gone beyond the initial vision as the institute has provided education to world leaders of today - including the CEO of Google - Sundar Pichai.
Not in the best of my dreams I thought that a small decision to choose IIT Kharagpur would shape my personal life in so many amazing meaningful ways. This place gave me everything that I have today - my identity, best friends for life, a family throughout the world, access to world education, and multiple jobs even in America due to its reputation and success.
Most important of all - the institute has shown me a consistent direction and a way of living through its motto “Yogah Karmasu Kaushalam”, which means “Excellence in action is yoga”. Whenever I feel lost, this keeps me going. Even though I am miles apart, I feel the institute is rooting for me every single day on earth.
As I continue searching for truth - excellence in action remains my approach in life. And as my writing passion is growing, today is the day to establish my new identity as a writer with this post. I look forward to sharing my experiences with life so that we can learn together in this paradise on earth!
